Dr. Shelley A. McClure, MD, FACOG, FABVL
Board Certified in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Varicose Vein Treatment
Dr. McClure is very excited to be offering her services in both Gynecology and Varicose Vein treatment through McClure Medical Practice to Cowley County and surrounding areas! Dr. McClure was raised in southeastern Kansas, near Chanute, where her parents still reside. She completed her degree in Biology at Wichita State University and then attended the University of Kansas Medical School and graduated from the Wichita campus in 1995. She completed her Ob-GYN Residency at Greenville Medical Center, Greenville, South Carolina in 1995.
She joined Carolina Women’s Health Center in Sanford, North Carolina and was in private practice there until 2005. Dr. McClure, her husband, Scott, and their five children returned to Kansas in 2005 at which time she opened her solo practice. She continued her Ob-GYN practice with Sunflower, Ob-GYN until 2011. Due to her busy family demands, she decreased her work responsibilities and became interested in an underserved area of medicine, the treatment of varicose veins.
Dr. McClure is currently Board Certified by both the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. Attaining board certification by a medical board demonstrates a physician’s commitment to excellence in that field of medicine. Dr. McClure devotes her time to the gynecologic care of women and to the treatment of venous disorders in both women and men. Dr. McClure’s priority is you, the patient. She will spend the time with you that you require so that you are comfortable, understand the treatment advised, and have all of your questions answered.
